Yamaha NP35 Piaggero 76 key Piano-style Keyboard

A 76-key keyboard (a conventional piano has 88 keys) that allows you to perform piano pieces with greater authenticity, without requiring much space. Although the keys have the same box shape as those on a piano, the keyboard has a lighter feel that makes it easy for beginning pianists to start, rather than the weightier feel of a standard piano keyboard. You can also use headphones with the NP-35 if you are worried about disturbing those around you with your playing.

We recommend this model to:

• People with a casual desire to learn the piano
• People with little space in their home (1260 mm x 260 mm x 104 mm) (49-5/8” x 10-1/4” x 4-1/8”)
• People worried about lacking strength in their fingers
• People who don’t want those around them to hear their playing

It’s just so light! You can take it anywhere
“Piaggero,” the name of the NP-35 Series, combines “Piano” with the word “leggero,” a musical term meaning, “light.” As the name states, the NP-35 is extremely light, even for a portable keyboard, so that you can take it anywhere. Indoors, outdoors, or even on a trip, feel free to take it to your favorite places and practice.

Powerful, resonant sound
Yamaha’s acoustic technology furnishes the Piaggero’s powerful sound—a sound that belies its compact size, featuring resonant grand piano-style bass notes and beautifully detailed treble tones.

The Piaggero features the sound of a Yamaha full concert grand, the CFIIIS. The sound was sampled from a piano with a bright, transparent tone, a spacious treble, and an overall solid sonic feel.

The NP-35 is equipped with a larger amplifier than the NP-15, for a more robust bass and greater overall volume.

Basic operations are easy! A minimalist design with only functions you need
The Piaggero is an instrument for people who love the piano. Its modern design features aspects that are reminiscent of a piano and focuses on only the most practical functions, making it eminently usable and allowing even people who are not used to digital instruments to operate it intuitively.

Enjoy a light keyboard feel that makes piano playing fun!
Maybe you want to learn how to play the piano, but the keys feel so heavy you think your fingers will tire out; or maybe you think your fingers aren’t strong enough to achieve sufficiently strong fortes. It would be a shame to let such trivial concerns discourage you from playing the piano. The Piaggero’s light keyboard feel lets you experience the joy of playing a keyboard.

Even with its softer touch, the Piaggero’s sound changes realistically in response to the force of your keystrokes, enabling you to enjoy expressiveness approaching that of an acoustic piano.

Like conventional pianos, the keys on the NP-35 are heavier in the bass register and lighter in the treble (Graded Soft Touch). Experience the piano-like feel and light touch of this new keyboard.

Link with Smart Pianist for even more convenience
Connect the instrument to Yamaha’s “Smart Pianist” app, developed exclusively for use with Yamaha’s digital pianos, for even more intuitive operation than when operating the instrument itself.
